This game was made for WGJ 80 on the theme 'Winning is losing', which I suggested. While in a normal platformer gold and coins would make you win, in this one they are your enemies.

Story:

As a cleric in the temple of the god Ildrarth, you've been training your whole life for this.

The Trials.

You'll find yourself in a land full of treasures but you must not touch any of them.
Without touching any gold, you'll have to get to the Sacred Fire to become one of Ildrarth's true warriors

By the way thanks to Kevin Montes - kraed.montes@gmail.com, who saved me from getting out of the music category since my original musician kinda forgot about me. Kevin made the main theme of the game.

The graphics are cool and the concept is really creative. But I didnt like that there are a few situations where you cant do anything but resetting or suiciding :( (eg the first pit with a lot of gold). Or am I just too dumb to play?

Btw the part where the player is launched towards the gold on the ceiling was mean ;)
I enjoyed playing your game :)

the graphics look nice and the music is ok. now on to the cons. i dont like the jumping, it feels a bit off. like when i jump on to a platform you have to exactly jump the right distance or you over jump it. i would have it where you let go of jump you fall right down or maybe a less harsh arc on the distance you get when you let go of the jump. that way you can actually jump on to platforms with out having to aim your jumps too precisely. the other thing is with the camera. i would not have it attached to the character i would have it where there is camera control points in the world for each side of the character and when you touch one of them it then moves the camera. im blanking on what this technique is called but play a few other platformer games and you will see what i mean. other then that not a bad game the concept is pretty good.

Thanks for your feedback. I have gotten a lot of critics about the jumping and round colliders, but actually without them you wouldn't be able to climb back onto some platforms and would have to restart. Anyway, I'll probably make a post-jam version and see how people reacts to square colliders

nice job. It was an interesting way of interpreting the theme. I was just wondering why i can climb the platform on the right, but i cant the floating one the left. they are both at the same height.

Keep up the good work ^^ U did all that alone?

Thanks for the feedback, I did everything but the main music. The collisions in this game are weird and I get a lot of feedback about them with different opinions. I think it's just a matter of getting used to them

A nice little platformer. I got to actuality. Thanks for making it.

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! :)

Awesome take on the theme. I loved it!

Thanks!

love this game. A very clever spin on the theme. I was planning to do this game jam but life got in the way. good job!

Thanks! Don't worry, you can do it any other week :)
