Welcome to Mars 2025, a game made in less than a month for Erstel's June Month Jam. The theme was '2025', so I made a game set on Mars in the near future.

When humans tried to colonize Mars, they realized they were late, so they sent you to... convince the aliens to leave.

The map is procedurally generated, so no two playthroughs will be the same. The game has weapon pickups, boss battles and more. Feedback is welcome but I won't develop the game any further.

The Credits button is broken, so I'll just leave them here:

Gameplay feels good, although I'm not a fan of the spraying of the gun.
Had a lot of fun playing :)

I noticed that there is not really a point in fighting since you don't get anything from enemies and they are easy to avoid.
Sometimes the boss has a phase where it does not do anything and can just be fired at. This is a huge benefit for bad players like me but I'm not sure whether this was intended.

I really liked the weapon pickups, although the one that makes you spray five very slow bullets almost feels like downgrade with respect to the rocket-launcher-like gun.

I had a bad feeling while playing and needed to keep me back from insulting the enemies since after all, I'm the bad guy here :)
Btw the mars people also "convinced" me to leave one time.

All in all, great game thanks for creating it :)

Lol thanks for your feedback the game definitely needs some balancing and more interesting mechanics but since it's a jam game I won't develop it any further. Thanks for your feedback though
